SALE!!!  HP 8921A Service Monitor 0.4-1000 MHz The HP 8921A is basically an HP 8920A with option 001(high stability), 002(spectrum analyzer / tracking generator), 003(rear HPIB and rs-232 connectors), 004(audio Signaling), 013(CMessage audio filter), 014(6 KHz bandpass filter) 050 (low phase noise synthesizers and rear option connectors). The receiver IF in the 8921A is 30 KHz compared to 15 KHz in the 8920A. The wider IF is still accurate for measuring FM deviation , however, it will hear the adjacent channel if receiving "off the air". Includes calibration with data and 180 day warranty..$3600.

We remove the low value attenuator, install the standard 60 watt input then calibrate your input with our Agilent "System Power Calibration" software so the accuracy is within 5%. The unit is then performance evaluated with data. We use actual HP parts and add the original HP 60 watt label to the front panel... $250  (units with opt 007 require more parts making the price $350 for this service)

HP8924C Service Monitor / CDMA Test Set  the 8924C tests CDMA phones but is also a Service Monitor! Although the 8924C was originally  made for CDMA phone testing, it also makes an excellent bench service monitor. It can be used almost exactly like the HP8920B. It Generates FM, AM, SSB from 0.4*MHz to 1000MHz, (*30MHz-1000MHz with electronic input assy), sensitive off the air receiver, 60 watt (125 watt intermittent duty) RF input, sinad, power, distortion meters, signaling encoder and decoder, spectrum analyzer with tracking generator, high stability reference. It can be setup to work almost exactly like an 8920B but for a lot less money. The HP8924C is recommended as a bench unit because it weighs about 60 pounds - due to its tough steel frame. They generate and receive AM, FM from 0.4-1000 MHz, have 2 variable tone encoders, sensitive "off the air" receiver, typical signal generator accuracy is within 0.3 dB. Attn: Motorola R2600A,B,C and D Service Monitor Warning -  If you have a Motorola R2600 unit, be sure to check the 3 V lithium battery on the CPU board. This battery seems to fail after about 9 years of use and they commonly LEAK ACID on to the CPU board causing random failures. The acid leak generally ruins the CPU board by getting underneath IC's and corroding traces inside the board. The battery is a Plainview PMC 3.6B and is available from battsco.com We recommend these get replaced every 6 years whether they need it or not.
